About the hawker closure data
Where the dates come from and how today's status is worked out.
Source
The National Environment Agency (NEA) publishes each hawker centre's quarterly cleaning dates and any longer closure for repairs or upgrading, for 123 centres. This site checks NEA's file on data.gov.sg every day and shows it as published. Areas are URA planning areas.
Contains information from NEA's Dates of Hawker Centres Closure and URA's Master Plan 2019 Planning Area Boundary, accessed on 15 Oct 2026 from data.gov.sg, made available under the terms of the Singapore Open Data Licence version 1.0. Dates as published by the National Environment Agency; datainsg is not connected to or endorsed by NEA.
How the status is worked out
Your browser compares today's date in Singapore with NEA's dates. A centre is shown as closed on every day from a closure's first date to its last, and reopens the day after; a cleaning closure followed straight away by repairs counts as one closure. Dates NEA has not decided yet are shown as "To be confirmed by NEA" and never mark a centre as closed.
NEA's notes, for example different dates for two blocks of one centre, are shown exactly as NEA wrote them. Individual stalls may close on other days; this site covers whole-centre closures only.
